In Scotland she is part of the Scottish Book Trust's amazing Live Literature programme which helps fund and support author events in communities all over the country. Jill was a lecturer in Illustration at Edinburgh College of Art for 14 years and has presented and guest lectured at art colleges across the UK and beyond. Jill can deliver a beautifully illustrated talk about her work, practice and ideas, show real examples of sketchbooks and work in context along with setting creative and challenging projects that students enjoy enormously - so they say!

Finally, due to the Covid-19 pandemic, 2020 saw a huge pivot in how authors and illustrators connected with their audience. Jill can now also offer online events, via Zoom, Google Meet, Teams or a platform of your choice. These can involve book readings and drawing together, a studio tour, or a lecture with slideshow and Q&A sessions - for any age group! Jill has led successful online events with Borders Book Festival, UCLan Design Festival, various primary schools and Big Book Weekend... so, get in touch to discuss!
